I'm constantly getting spam for a "Douglas Devonish" who supposedly lives in North Carolina. Sounds like a good name for a romance novel or something.

"Your Ladyship, may I present Lord Douglas Devonish, who has just returned from inspecting his considerable land holdings in the colonies." And later there would be heaving bosoms and dropping of breeches and maybe a burning plantation in the background. But I digress.

I swear, 90% of my spam has this name in it! WTF? My email address has my last name as part of it, and it is NOT Devonish, btw, and I know that there's a large number of folks in N.C. with my last name (my dad's family is from the Thomasville/High Point area so there's kin all around there), so I can maybe see getting emails for N.C. based things. But Devonish? Where the hell did that come from?

I dunno. I'm just sick of them. I can't get them all filtered out either.

Three more hours til going home time. Not much going on here. Maybe Douglas is having more fun and wondering why the hell some spammer thinks he's a woman who lives in Mississippi who needs to refinance her mortgage.

For some reason these Douglas things have been multiplying lately. Douglas Devonish! Fantastic interest rates! Douglas Devonish! Teenage slut cams! Douglas Devonish! Vicodin cheap!

Somebody make it stop!

Okay -- I think I just disrupted the entire third floor of the library with my laughter when I read this. Mr. Devonish doesn't know who he's messing with it seems!

Too bad the spam filter's not catching it. Sometimes mine catches things I'm supposed to get. THe thing that irks me though are those adware things that attach to your computer while you're browsing the web. I have to run software to get those off. They can eventually destroy your hard drive if you're not careful.
